Two things that I really enjoy are looking at art and eating good food. Last weekend was great, as I had the opportunity to do both at the same time.

Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, is a 42-acre museum, sculpture garden, and arboretum founded by the artist Seward Johnson on the former grounds of the New Jersey State Fair.

There are four dining options in the park, although Rat’s Restaurant is my clear favorite. Named for The Wind in the Willows character, it serves French country cuisine in a building that looks like it came out of an impressionist painting.

If you’re lucky enough to snag an outdoor table, you’ll be rewarded with a magnificent view

that resembles the Japanese Bridge painting of Claude Monet.

The drinks: cucumber-lime fresca and peach-ginger fuzz

What we ate: Seared Crab Cake with Quinoa and Dill-Yogurt Sauce

Turkey Croissant with Dill Aioli

Roasted Cauliflower with Marcona Almonds and Black Garlic

We loved the food. All was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. This is the dessert we shared:

Lemon Tart with Blueberries
